Vegetarian Meatloaf

2 c water
1 tsp salt
1 c lentils
1 small onion, diced
1 c quick cooking oats
3/4 c grated cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
4 1/2 oz spaghetti sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp black pepper

Add salt to water and bring to a boil.
Add lentils and simmer, covered for 25-30 minutes.
Drain and partially mash l entils.
Scrape into mixing bowl.
Add egg, tomato sauce, garlic, basil, parsley and pepper.
Spoon into greased loafpan.
Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes until top is dry, firm and golden brown.
